Residential Building Permit

I understand a permit becomes null and void if work or construction authorized is not commenced within 180 days, or if construction or work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days at any time after work is commenced. All construction must be completed within 6 months from issuance of permit. All permits require final inspection. I understand a certificate of occupancy must be issued before any residential structure is occupied. I hereby certify that I have read and examined this application and know the same to be true and correct. All provisions of laws and ordinances governing this type of construction will be complied with whether specified herein or not. The granting of a permit does not presume to give authority to violate or cancel any federal, state, or local law regulating construction or the performance of construction or to encourage the violation of any restrictive covenant. Prior to submission, approvals from all affected property or easement holders on or adjacent to the property; including but not limited to utilities, Corps of Engineers, the Town, HOAs, etc.; must be obtained and submitted with the application and site plan. I have been put on notice to check any restrictive covenants or homeowners association requirements before building, as they are not regulated or enforced by the Town of Hickory Creek. As the owner, contractor, or authorized agent of the owner or contractor, I understand that it is my responsibility to adhere to the requirements set forth herein.
