Lynn Clark

Town Council
Title: Mayor

Lynn Clark was first elected to the Hickory Creek Council in May 2007, and served as Mayor Pro Tem from May 2010 to June 2015. In June 2015, the Town Council appointed her Mayor to fill a vacancy and she was elected to the position in 2016. Clark says, “I’ve gained immeasurable experience in the workings of local government, town budgeting, and the role development plays in building a healthy tax base so that citizens are not too heavily burdened with property tax.”

Continuing Efforts

She has met with developers and engineers, DCTA officials, TxDOT, various town boards and staff, always working to provide the best service for the lowest cost for Hickory Creek citizens. She has worked with Precinct 1 Commissioner Bobbie Mitchell to represent Hickory Creek’s interests at the county level.

Lynn Clark represents Hickory Creek in the TxDOT stakeholder meetings for the I-35 expansion, has voiced Hickory Creek’s concerns through the planning stage, and now during the construction phase. She has been involved in planning the aesthetics package for the new highway, giving Hickory Creek a “voice” in the look of the road as it bisects our community.

Clark graduated from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (Odessa, TX), with a degree in History and Literature. She retired as the Executive Director of the Texas Association of Rental Agencies in 2005.
