Lewisville Lake Bridge Traffic Shift Scheduled Northbound Interstate 35E Traffic Will Move to New Bridge
LEWISVILLE, Texas - 35Express crews will shift northbound I-35E traffic onto the new southbound Lewisville Lake bridge the weekend of Sept. 16. Once northbound traffic is moved onto the new bridge, all but one lane of the original bridge will close to traffic. This lane will be used to access Lake Dallas Drive. While the original bridge is closed, crews will reconfigure the structure to carry northbound traffic only.
As this work is being performed, motorists should expect the following closures from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 until 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 and from 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 until 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18:

The northbound entrance ramp near Valley Ridge Boulevard will be relocated near FM 407.The northbound exit ramp to Garden Ridge Boulevard and Lake Dallas Drive will be relocated south of FM 407. This ramp will be open to traffic by 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.Northbound traffic will be on the new Lewisville Lake bridge by 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.
This work is related to the 35Express project, an expansion of I-35E between U.S. Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, if necessary.
