Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Road Shift at Oak Drive in Hickory Creek
HICKORY CREEK, Texas — Crews will shift the southbound I-35E frontage road between Oak Drive and Hickory Creek Road west onto new pavement next week. Motorists should expect various lane closures from 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9.
Motorists wishing to access southbound I-35E from Oak Drive will take the frontage road north past Hickory Creek Road and turn right onto the old southbound frontage road pavement to access the entrance ramp near Lewisville Lake.
The new frontage road alignment will remain a two-way condition to allow traffic between Oak Drive and Hickory Creek Road. This work is related to the 35Express project, an expansion of I-35E between U.S. Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, if necessary.
