Lynn Clark was first elected to the Hickory Creek Council in May 2007, serving as Mayor Pro Tem from May 2010 to June 2015. In June 2015, the Town Council appointed her Mayor to fill a vacancy, and she was elected to the position in 2016 and 2018. In addition to her Council duties, Clark serves on the Hickory Creek Economic Development Corporation.
Clark says, “I’ve gained immeasurable experience in the workings of local government, town budgeting, and the role development plays in building a healthy tax base.”
She has met with developers and engineers, TxDOT, and various town boards and staff, always working to provide the best service for the lowest cost for Hickory Creek citizens. She has worked with Precinct 3 Commissioner Bobbie Mitchell to represent Hickory Creek’s interests at the county level.
Clark is an active member of the Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce and serves as a mentor in the Communities in Schools “Lunch with a Leader” program at Lake Dallas Elementary School.
Clark graduated from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (Odessa, TX), with a degree in History and Literature. She retired as the Executive Director of the Texas Association of Rental Agencies in 2005.
Clark is married to Bob Clark, a retired Southwest Airlines captain. They have 2 sons and daughters-in-law and 8 grandchildren.
