Hi. I live in the Harbor Grove area of Hickory Creek. I had a decorative bird cage on my front yard, and someone came into my yard and stole it. Not high value, just decorative. But it still is very annoying. I am sure my neigh or ring doorbell directly across the street captured it, though.

Solicitors? Don't Get Scammed. Yes, in Hickory Creek they must have a permit. Most other cities as well. I encountered a young man a few days ago who was allegedly selling magazines subscriptions as I was speaking with a neighbor. I asked him where his permit was and he said he did not have one. BIG Red Flag. He said that he had just spoken with a police officer and he did not say he needed one. So therefore, he did not need one. Description, either a late teen or early 20's and speaking broken English. The following is directly from the towns website regarding solicitors. TOWN OF HICKORY CREEK, " All solicitors must have a permit from the town. The permit is only valid between 9am - 8pm Monday - Saturday. Any materials handed out must include the name, address, and contact information of the organization or applicant." The page also indicated that there are no solicitor permits currently active. I can't recommend Rice Pot enough - their food is always piping hot when delivered and it's fast and delicious. I also like that they give you choices, ie. extra crispy, all white meat, spicy or not, etc. - they also give you 10% off for ordering online. There is a $2 delivery fee and you must order at least $15 to have meal delivered. One dinner entre can feed me for a week - literally....
